Spring Book Fair
Waterfall City and all its bookworms
enjoyed the much-awaited annual
spring book fair in September. In
a new format, which included six
mobile book carts – four at Polofields
Crossing and two at Waterfall Wilds
– there were hundreds of pre-loved
books to choose from. Fun for the
kids and the popular Blind Date with
a Book also returned. This year’s Book
Fair raised R27,054 from the sale of
770 books, frames and puzzles. All
proceeds went to Greendale House
(formerly HospiceWits), to assist
in providing quality palliative and
hospice care to communities and
indigent patients in and around
Johannesburg and Soweto.
Book donations received from Littlehill Montessori Kikuyu & Polofields, Waterfall City Management Company,
Curro Waterfall, as well as Waterfall Valley and Waterfall Hills Mature Lifestyle Estates.
