A Word from our Chairman
Dear Residents
I trust you are all keeping well and managing as best as is humanly possible in the
circumstances.
I would like to dedicate this message to all those incredible people who live on this
estate and who have demonstrated an incredible community spirit and charity during
this period of need. In this regard, a daily meal is provided to both guarding shifts and
various initiatives have been undertaken and are in progress where food is prepared
and donated to a significant number of people including children and the aged in
Diepsloot. I would both like to thank all those involved and encourage everyone to
continue with these efforts.
I would like to inform all members that as a Board we took a decision at the
commencement of the nationwide lockdown that we would continue to pay our estate
staff and the Servest staff during the lockdown period despite the fact that they are
unable to come to work as we consider this ‘the right thing to do’ in the circumstances.
For your information Jacques and Judy continue to undertake various estate functions
despite the lockdown and all members are able to communicate with them during the
normal working hours. As a result of Servest receiving a part grant for their employees,
they have reduced our monthly invoicing accordingly. These funds will be used to
continue to build our reserves and fund the security upgrade approved at the last EGM.
Please could all residents who walk dogs on the estate during the allowed period of
6am to 9am each morning, ensure that their dogs are on a leash and they collect any
excrement in the interests of the rest of our community.
Please take care.
Sebastian Carter
