                                                               The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr
                                                               Blade Nzimande, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
                                                               (MoU) with the Republic of Türkiye that will see the two
                                                               countries enhance their relationship in areas of science and
                                                               innovation. The MoU was signed during the visit of Türkiye’s
                                                               Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in Pretoria on 10
                                                               January.

          Across the information technology (IT) industry as a whole,
          there is a significant skills gap that has existed for many
          years, but this is becoming even more significant when
          it comes to the cyber security subsection. However, as

          more attractive target for cyber criminals, and with data
          protection regulations becoming more and more stringent,
          this is one area that needs to be addressed as a matter of
