The Festive Season is just as
easily celebrated outdoors in
the fresh air, as an alternative
to the traditional indoor
family gathering at the dinner
table. Here are two excellent
complements to add zest to
your next braai.
Wild Rice and Baby Spinach Salad
A nice, nutty tasting rice salad with apple and celery.
You will need Method
180ml wild brown rice mixture • Cook rice according to the
625ml water pack instructions, using water
10ml Ina Paarman’s Vegetable and the Vegetable Stock
Stock Powder Powder. Fluff with a fork and
1 large carrot, coarsely grated leave to cool.
2 apples, grated • Toss the rice and salad
1 large stalk celery, finely sliced ingredients together except
125ml seedless raisins for the pumpkin seeds and
1 large handful baby spinach dressing. Season with the

60ml pumpkin seeds, toasted • Top with pumpkin seeds.
Ina Paarman’s Greek Dressing. • Dress before serving.
Classic Aperol Spritz
Aperol spritzes are ultra-refreshing, bubbly cocktails. A proper Aperol spritz
tastes like summertime in Italy and looks like a golden orange sunset.
Aperol spritz cocktails are unbelievably easy to make.
No cocktail shaker or fancy equipment required!
Ingredients (Per cocktail) Method
Ice Add ice to a wine glass until it is
