MACHINERY FEATURE
‘BEAST’ CAMPAIGN WITH HUSQVARNA
n September 2020, brand ambassador
for Husqvarna South Africa, Tendai ‘The
IBeast’ Mtawarira, featured in a new brand
advertisement for the company. He offered an
empowering message of resilience, strength
and man’s ability to triumph over adversity. In a
display of his physical and mental grit, his story
reminded us that no journey comes without
rough terrain.
Similarly, perseverance, tenacity and power are
words which underpin Husqvarna’s own ethos,
and their range of state-of-the art outdoor
equipment has the ability to help rebuild
industries and enable businesses to return to
work after the lockdown. Because Husqvarna
is all about powerful machines, it was easy to
parallel the Beast’s own physical prowess.
The production was shot at night with all Covid
protocols in place, major time constraints and
remarkable physical exertions required of the
Beast. Despite the hurdles, it reminded everyone
to see possibilities rather than problems, and to
demonstrate resilience and reliability, just like
Husqvarna’s equipment.
Jenna Robinson, regional marketing manager for
Husqvarna Africa, says the company is committed
to benefitting industries and homeowners
through its sustainable innovations. LSA
