FISHING CLUB NEWS

he Angling Club had a very successful
Chip and Fish competition once
Tagain at the end of 2019. Congrats to
the newby team “Kingfishers” that walked
away as overall winners!
We are very excited to introduce the Race
to the Lakes competition for the first time.
All results for each of the official social
events, as well as formal competitions, will
accumulate points for the entrants over
the course of 2020. The overall winners
will be announced after the 2020 Chip and
Fish competition, with some great prizes
in store!

Our Silver Lakes Angling Club Facebook
page has also been running for a while
now. It is a closed group, so please ask to
join and we will add you. It is a great source
of information, and open for all members
to post pics of catches and the like.

A social event will be held every second
month and everyone is welcome! Our first
one for 2020 was held at the dam wall on A big fight between Angler, Barbel and Reeds!
9 February, with good attendance, and
some interesting catches. This was also
the first chance to earn Race to the Lakes
points. Please see our leader board below.
