         You’ll love preparing these

            recipes on Braai Day,
          especially since they’ve
        been devised by two of our
          very own braai masters.



          n  South  Africa,  it’s  always  a  good  time
          for  a  braai,  but  on  Heritage  Day  (24
       ISeptember),  also  called  National  Braai
        Day – a day when everyone gathers round
        for a festive braai – we’re pulling out all the
        stops.

        To impress friends and family with a truly
        South  African  feast,  two  of  our  Ultimate
        Braai  Master  winners  have  pooled  their
        culinary skills to create the ultimate Braai   Rooibos marinade

                                                                      Ice blocks
                                                                      Make ice cubes with Rooibos tea and a sprig of mint.
                                                                      Add to gin or vodka and tonic.
                                                                      They’re also delicious in a glass of cold water with a
                                                                      squirt of lemon.

                                                                      Rooibos arctic ice lollies for the kids
                                                                      Make a weakish Rooibos brew, add a dash of lemon
                                                                      and honey or sugar. Pour into ice lolly moulds and
                                                                      freeze. These lollies are really cooling and are great
                                                                      for teething toddlers.
