GARDEN OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to our January Garden winner: Mr D Viljoen of 3 Nicklaus Street

ach month, we celebrate the efforts of a resident in
maintaining an attractive front yard. All front gardens in
Ethe estate are automatically entered, giving all residents
the opportunity to take part in this monthly competition.

What sets our January winner apart is the simple yet elegant
design of the garden, featuring curves and a well-organised
layout. The garden’s charm is enhanced by tall palms and
cycads, giving it a tropical feel.

The centrepiece is a round flowerbed adorned with Echeveria
glauca (rock roses) that provide a calming blue-green tint.
Moss-rose purslane and Pentas lanceolata add lively splashes
of colour, creating visual appeal. The carefully tended lawn
completes the scene.

This garden represents our community beautifully as it
demonstrates how thoughtful landscaping can elevate a
neighbourhood’s aesthetic.
