Since 2004, Waterfall Management Company, the property, asset
and operational manager of the Waterfall City land, has been
working with developers and investors to create the largest mixed-
use development in Africa. Situated at the intersection of the M1,
N1 and N3 freeways to the north of Johannesburg, Waterfall City
has been conceptualised as a smart city built on the cornerstones
of Connection (locality, infrastructure, technology and travel),
Commerce (commercial, retail, logistics and hospitality), Care
(safety, sustainability, health and smart city) and Community (multi-
generational living, education, social development and a lifestyle
destination). In essence, the development, which is not yet halfway
completed, has become synonymous with being the ideal place to
connect all aspects of life – be they living, business or leisure – in the
          heart of Gauteng.
