average of 1,4 million monthly visitors
confirms the mall’s popularity with
shoppers and entertainment seekers
alike. With international fashion brands
like Coach, Kate Spade and Emporio
Armani opening and a meet-and-greet
with Eben Etzebeth, it is no wonder
Mall of Africa was voted Coolest Mall
in the Sunday Times Generation X
Awards for the seventh time this
year! Furthermore, since 2023, it has
achieved a compounded annual
trading density growth of 11.33%,
maintaining a healthy rent-to-turnover
ratio of 6.93%.
WCMC sponsored the 2025 Curro Clash Gauteng e-sports event.
Community spirit
Waterfall City is one of Gauteng’s most
exciting lifestyle destinations, and there is
always something going on to keep you
entertained and enhance community
spirit. A few events took place this year
that did just that. At the end of March,
WCMC sponsored the 2025 Curro Clash
Gauteng e-sports event, where 248
learners from almost 30 schools across
South Africa took part. In September,
we had a milestone 7,000 participants
in the 5 annual Waterfall City Half
th
Marathon! In October, we saw a record
60 teams take part in our second The
Amazing Race Waterfall City, solving
clues and navigating to hot spots across
the City, while racing against the clock for
amazing prizes. What fun! In other news,
Waterfall Country Estate started their
own junior soccer team this year and
Waterfall City now also boasts its own
Junior Soccer Club. The Waterfall City Half Marathon 2025 drew a record 7,000 entries.
