                                   Chairperson’s Message

s we move into the second quarter of 2023, we reflect on the short-term milestones,
shortcomings, and progressive achievements of the first quarter. We recently had two board
Amembers resign, so I have taken over as Chair of the Board for the remainder of the term. We
are also grateful to Dave Roberts and Ben Nkosi, who have joined the board, as well as the various
sub-committee members and homeowners, who continue to give their valuable time and input
towards the betterment of our estate.

We had a successful General Meeting on 23 February 2023, where several beneficial projects were
approved by homeowners to enhance and improve our estate’s aesthetics, infrastructure and security.
All these projects are currently underway, with enhanced reporting on progress to the board and
homeowners. The first visible project is the park pilot upgrade, Biggar Park.

On the social side, we hosted a successful Easter Fun Day, where our community kids and parents enjoyed
themselves thoroughly. We are busy planning several upcoming social events for 2023 and encourage
residents to join and assist us in building social cohesion within our beautiful estate.

There have, unfortunately, been a few security-related challenges on the estate. This has received
the full and urgent attention of the board and security sub-committee. As a result, several short-term
preventative interventions have been put into place, with further prioritisation of some of the longer-
term project-based solutions. In particular, there are urgent interventions related to the performance
of the security service providers. While the HOA continues to enhance the security performance of our
estate, we encourage homeowners and residents to consistently be vigilant of their own safety and that
of the estate by reporting all suspicious activities to the control room.

We continue to face challenges regarding delivery and capacity within the HOA, mainly due to inadequacy
in platform operating and management systems and other resources. However, we continue to progress
on these fronts with both long-term and interim solutions underway. In addition, reporting transparently
on delivery efficiency will soon become the norm for all stakeholders, with an update imminent.

We continue to welcome the input of all homeowners and for you to continue your engagements and
suggestions with all board members and sub-committees. Finally, the Board of Directors would like to
wish residents, their families, and the HOA team a cosy upcoming winter season.

                       Warm regards
                       Dr Rajesh Lalloo
Chairperson of the Board of Directors
Blue Valley Golf & Country Estate
