morning and the campers could enjoy a nice
hot drink before packing up.

We wish to thank Brenda from Hamilton’s
Realty who joined us on the evening. She
sponsored the braai hire and charcoal for the
evening and surprised the camping moms
with beautiful little Spekboom pot plants as
a surprise!

As the Sunday was Mother’s Day, we
contacted Leroy Merlin and asked if they
would sponsor two prizes for the camping
moms. They were excited to join the initiative
and gave us two R500 vouchers to hand out
to two deserving camping moms!

Our first winner was Kylee Preston. The
Prestons have four little ones under the age
of five. They had a second birthday party in
the morning for their little boy, still made it in
time for the camp out and enjoyed the entire
night on a deflated mattress! Kylee was a very
well deserving winner we believed and she
sent us a photo of the family enjoying their
Leroy Merlin outing to spend her prize!

Our second winner was Jeanette Geral. The
Geral family had the most organised set-up
I had ever seen for a one-night camp out!
Dinner was enjoyed as a family at a table, and
during the set-up, it was clear that everyone
had a specific job to do. The dad, daughters
and mom worked together in faultless
unison. After enquiring, the girls told me that
camping in the Kruger Park is their favourite
holiday. We could see they are experienced
campers!

There will definitely be more family camp
outs in our estate, but next time during
summer! Thanks to our great sponsors and
the fun families that enjoyed the evening
with us. This was community living at its best!
