or access help, without waiting for you
to have a signal or interrupting a much-
needed siesta! Remember that our
Control Room operates 24 hours a day
and can be contacted on 011 465 5465
to report emergencies when every
second helps!
• Whether a house sitter, pet carer or
relative is looking after your pets, please
update your pet’s microchip details
and ideally fit a collar with a contact
number. If your pets are celebrating the
holidays with you, please be mindful of
holiday foods, decorations, and plants
that may be harmful to pets. Chocolate,
tinsel, and poinsettias are common
hazards, so keep these out of reach.
• The Estate’s Holiday Home form will
ensure that regular checks take place
at your property and provide the HOA
with an emergency contact in case you
cannot be reached (the form is available
on GloCMS and can be handed in at the
Estate Office or Security Office).
• Fire safety is also important as the
holiday season often involves candles,
cooking, and holiday lights, all of which
can pose additional fire risks. Ensure you
take the necessary precautions, have a
fire extinguisher readily available, and
that all solar installations are maintained
and in good condition.
By taking steps to secure your home, care
for your pets, and plan for emergencies
you can enjoy the festivities and time
away with peace of mind.
Before we get to the holidays, though,
November’s sweltering heat poses a
challenge in our water-scarce country,
and we urge residents to observe the
water restrictions in place. We wish all
scholars and students good luck with
exams as their diligence during the year
is bound to pay off!
