Design: DDS Projects for Babylonstoren Fynbos Cottages
Amongst the vineyards of the Babylonstoren Farm are the cottages, at the foot of
the mountain overlooking a vast space of land. This project is so in tune with its
surroundings that it is hard to believe it was designed and constructed by man. Were
it not for some new parts of the development, it would have been difficult to believe
it possible to create such synergy with the surroundings. The tranquil space redefines
the art of landscaping, and there is a touch of genius in allowing each cottage space to
have its identity within a holistic whole that does not, in any manner, take away from its
surroundings.
