PROJECT

          SERENGETI ESTATE

          NEW SPORTS FACILITIES

Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate in Gauteng recently introduced new sports
facilities for its residents. The Racquet and Sports Club was a strategic decision

made in terms of the estate’s health and lifestyle offering, and its vision is to create
a high-end environment and community facility.

he new additions include four padel
             courts, three tennis courts, four
Tpickle ball courts, one artificial multi-
purpose court and one grass soccer field.
Padel is the most popular discipline, but
pickle ball allows for all age groups to
          become actively involved. The facilities
were installed by Turftech, and the company
received a Gold Award in the 2025 SALI
Awards of Excellence for the project, which
was entered in the category of Specialised
          Construction.
          Design concept
Dino De Abreu, COO of Serengeti Estate
and a landscape and golf course architect
of Novo LGCA, explains that his design
concept was to bring the community
together in one precinct at the centre of
the estate. Although Serengeti is a golfing
estate with vast golfing options, the new
          precinct engages the entire community,
offering active racquet and other ball sports
The multi-purpose court with artificial turf surface accommodates netball, basketball and volley ball

The children’s play area is a strategic part of the offering
